Life Drawing (but not as you know it)
Thursday 15th June, 7-9pm & Thursday 22nd June, 7-9pm
Location: 1st Floor, Bobby’s Building
Join us at GIANT for our inaugural mini series of experimental life drawing sessions.
Guided by local artists Sam Jackson and Emma Moxey, each session will push the bounds of the genre through non-traditional media and approaches, throwing out the rule book and embracing a free and fun approach.
Materials included.
For all abilities, suitable for ages 16+
Session 1 (15/06) with Sam Jackson
Looking at accuracy, surface, observation and expression within a contemporary manner for all levels. This will include working in pairs, self-expression, the breaking of boundaries in relation to life-drawing and how to capture the 'essence' of the human figure. With lots of fun and enjoyment.
Session 2 (22/06) with Emma Moxey
For the Love of Line: Exploring reductionism and gesture, simplicity and layering using wet and dry media combinations.
